How it works under the hood

This tool maps your letters onto Unicode characters from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block. The block contains separate code points for bold (U+1D400–U+1D433), italic (U+1D434–U+1D467), and bold-italic (U+1D468–U+1D49B) Latin letters. Since each styled character is a distinct Unicode code point, the emphasis survives copy-paste into any Unicode-supported environment.
